High Protein Vegetarian Diet
Following a high protein vegetarian diet can be simple and even easy.
Meat and other animal products are not only way to get protein. You do not have to love nuts or beans. While these are both excellent sources of protein for vegetarians, there are a number of others.
Sample vegetarian diet plan that is high in protein:

Breakfast
2 scrambled eggs or 1/2 cup of scrambled tofu Slice of whole wheat toast with a tablespoon of jelly Banana
Mid-Morning High Protein Snack
1/4 cup of hummus (any flavor) 1/2 cup of baby carrots Apple
Lunch
Tofurkey Sandwich
3-4 slices of tofurkey or another deli meat substitute 1 tablespoon of mayo 1 teaspoon of mustard Several tomato slices 5-6 spinach leaves
Orange Serving of baked potato chips
Afternoon Snack
Yogurt Parfait
1/2 cup of low-fat yogurt (any flavor) 1 cup of blueberries and strawberries (fresh or frozen) Several peach slices (fresh or frozen) Top with low-fat granola or chopped nuts (optional)
Dinner
Apple Walnut Salad
1 cup of spinach leaves 3 tablespoons of chopped walnuts 1/4 cup of chopped apples Handful of feta cheese 2 tablespoons of any salad dressing
