Egg Recipes: How to Scramble Eggs in the Microwave

Love enjoying egg recipes for breakfast, but don't have the time to make them on the stove in the morning? For most of us, mornings are the busiest time of day.

Although scrambled eggs are relatively simple to make, taking the time to do so in the morning can be difficult. Not to mention the clean up time involved. Microwaving eggs is easy!

How to Make Scrambled Eggs in the Microwave

2 eggs for each person
1 tablespoon of water or milk for every 2 eggs
Pinch of shredded cheese (optional)
Salt and pepper for seasoning (optional)

Crack eggs into a bowl and mix together. Add milk or water, as well as the cheese, if desired. Heat in the microwave on high for about 30 seconds, then stir. Repeat this process until there is no liquid left if the bowl.

As the eggs cook more, it may be a good idea to reduce the cooking time to 15 seconds in between stirring. Use your best judgment. Season with salt and pepper.

Stir in some veggies, like peppers or mushrooms, to add some nutrients and flavor to your eggs.

Sometimes I like to put my scrambled eggs in a whole wheat wrap, along with some chopped peppers and mushrooms, even a little barbecue sauce.

Not only is this a tasty vegetarian breakfast or lunch, it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare.

When I first heard about cooking eggs in the microwaves, I wasn't so sure about it.
