Variety makes snack time more interesting.

Although I'm not a nutritionist, I think it is fine to have a bag of chips or a few cookies for a snack once in awhile. Snacks don't always have to healthy!
However, most of the time they should be used to meet nutritional needs that are not met at meals. If you are concerned about what constitutes a healthy snack for you, talk with your doctor or a dietitian.
Remember that snacks are optional.
